Julie Ann Stricklin ROCKS!

Hi! My name is Julie Ann Stricklin. I am a commercial illustrator, graphic designer as well as fine artist based out of San Diego, CA.

I recently began painting beach rocks to give as gifts to friends to provoke a smile. It worked!

Painting the rocks quickly became a morning meditation and part of my daily routine. Within weeks I started receiving orders for wedding gifts, birthday gifts and well as funeral ceremonies and gardens.

I use natural rocks and stones of all sizes. Each is rock is hand painted and signed.
They are little one of a kind pieces of art.

Rocks in the wild!

I wanted to leave a few of my rocks in some tide pools for treasure seekers to find. I wanted to provoke a smile and enjoy watching the expression of curiosity. I was the one amazingly surprised to see how the patterns blended so beautifully with nature.
